AftercareAftercare for Infants and Young BoysFor all pre-pubescent boys, we use the Plastibell® method of circumcision. This is a non-surgical removal of the foreskin by suture thread.Once the treatment has been administered, the Plastibell® and dead foreskin tissue will become detached in five to eight days, leaving a clean healed cut at the tie-line. Aftercare for Older Boys and AdultsFor older patients, where a Plastibell® is too small, a forceps-guided procedure is used after which some stitching is necessary. The stitches can be removed by the patient after approximately one week after which there should be little discomfort or problem in healing. For a more detailed list of what the patient can and cannot do post operation, please read our preparation and aftercare information page.
