Circumcision Aftercare and Post Operative Advice
Aftercare for Infants and Young Boys
For all younger boys and babies, we use the PlastiBell® or Circumplast® method of circumcision. This is a non-surgical removal of the foreskin by suture thread.
Once the procedure has been administered, the PlastiBell® or Circumplast® and dead foreskin tissue will become detached between three to ten days, leaving a clean healed cut at the tie-line.

Aftercare for Older Boys and Adults
For older patients, where a Plastibell® or Circumplast® is too small, a forceps-guided procedure is used after which some stitching is necessary.
The stitches can be removed by the patient after approximately one week; after which there should be little discomfort or problem in healing. For a more detailed list of what the patient can and cannot do post operation, please visit the circumcision aftercare information for older boys and men.
